Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign announced in November that they would merge, and in March Baroness Delyth Morgan of Drefelin was named as the new organisation’s chief executive.
The new charity is called Breast Cancer Now and uses a new logo.
A statement from Breast Cancer Now said: “The charity’s name conveys the urgency required to stop women in the UK dying from breast cancer, with its mark representing the endeavour, dedication and hearts of the supporters and researchers behind the charity’s life-saving work.” It said that BCN “has the ambition of stopping women dying from breast cancer by 2050″.
